Portugal Telecom adopts CardMobili’s Award-Winning Mobile Loyalty Service

Cloud-based MEO CardMobili service launched by Portugal Telecom, supporting thousands of users in Portugal

Porto, Portugal and London, UK: Tuesday, 28th May 2014 – CardMobili, a leading provider of digital wallet solutions, reports that it has reached an agreement with Portugal Telecom (PT) for the network operator to take over the award-winning CardMobili mobile consumer loyalty service under the branding “MEO CardMobili”. The cloud-based service platform has been integrated into PT’s digital services strategy under the MEO brand, and was recently launched with great success across Portugal.

For CardMobili’s CEO Helena Leite, PT’s decision reflects growing industry recognition about the importance of Value Added Services (VAS) for commerce. VAS provides compelling value propositions for both consumers and merchants, as she explains:
